Toronto and the western foreshore suburbs have some of the most challenging and most rewarding blocks in the region. Steep sites with water views mean elevated decks, retaining and multi-level design, and they reward getting the structure right.

On a falling block, a deck stops being a platform and becomes a structure. Engineered footings, bracing, compliant balustrade and a stair set out to correct rise and going. The same applies to extensions, where a suspended floor is often more sensible than trying to fill and retain.

Access is frequently the hidden cost. A steep driveway that a concrete truck cannot use, or a block where everything has to be carried down, adds days of labour that a quote based on a plan alone will miss. We look at access before we price.
